Pranayama, the practice of the breath, is the flow of Prana (vital energy) through the energy body. We are born breathing with the full body, but our stressful lifestyles result in tension and shallow breathing that leaves our diaphragm (main breathing muscle) stuck and weak. We will work together to awaken the diaphragm, identify and work out areas of tension that limit full body breathing and practice breathing fully in a variety of simple yoga poses.

*Practice postures to prepare the body for sitting still in meditation, followed by a traditional guided Pranayama practice

*Learn techniques, including the anuloma viloma (alternate nostril breathing), that will expand or enhance your current level of yoga and meditation practice

*Experience a deep, relaxing guided meditation

All levels are welcome and encouraged! Plan to avoid large meals 2 hours prior to the workshop.
