Kate’s yoga practice began in earnest when she attended a restorative class at Lotus in 2015 during an intense period of burnout. Regular restorative classes helped her re-attune to her body while attending to her mind and eventually empowered her to explore more active, flow style classes with a new curiosity. Since beginning this journey, she has been fascinated by yoga’s ability to heal and strengthen through movement, mindfulness, and rest. In July 2022, she began her 200-hour certification training under Jen Hensley to deepen her knowledge and practice as a student and to gain the necessary tools to share that knowledge and practice as a teacher.
