Maris has been practicing yoga since 2017. She found her passion for yoga, movement, and mindfulness during her time at graduate school studying occupational therapy at Texas Woman’s University. She found it to be a powerful tool to improve both her physical and emotional well-being. Eager to share the many benefits she experienced through her own yoga practice, she began working on her 200-hour yoga certification under Jen Hensley in September of 2022.

As an occupational therapist, Maris works with children of all ages from birth to 21 with developmental delays and neurodiverse populations, including those with cerebral palsy, autism, and ADHD. She is passionate about incorporating the use of yoga and breathwork with her patients to improve their overall quality of life.
