200 Hour Certification:

The 200 hour program teaches you the ancient techniques of yoga and to use all of your life experiences to find the true teacher within yourself.  Learn to share your love of yoga with others and deepen your personal practice in the process.

Teacher trainees will meet at the studio once a week, for about 6-9 months (depending on break times and student schedules), all hours to be completed within 1 year. We do not rush the process as to allow trainees to maintain their lives, study and complete their hours.

The total cost is $3,000 and includes  group classes at the studio (part of the required hours). Trainees attend 30 workshop sessions covering Teaching Methodology, Anatomy, and Philosophy. There will be assigned readings (some included in the material, a few books to purchase or read online) and homework assignments for each session. In session meetings we review homework assignments, participate in specific exercises outlined in the reading and practice teaching.

We always have training sessions running, depending on trainee needs. Interested trainees should attend classes at the studio to get a feel for our teaching style and community.

“I cannot recommend the teacher training at Lotus Yoga with Jen Hensley highly enough. When I finally stumbled upon Lotus, I felt like I had come home. The energy and spirit of the studio guided students through proper alignment and learning while at the same time also inviting them to listen to their bodies and be mindful. Finding out the teacher training was personal and flexible sealed the deal. I was able to set the schedule with Jen so that we could meet around my full time job, and we either met one on one or in small groups with other one or two other teacher trainees where got hands on teaching and assisting experience from the start. Jen is an amazing teacher and mentor and Lotus Yoga is more than just a studio and teacher training – it is a family. I would urge anyone considering their yoga teacher training to come check out Lotus and talk to Jen.” – Kalindi Dinoffer, 2018 graduate and current Lotus teacher

“I expected and received excellent training on how to safely align students into poses to maximize the benefits of those poses without jeopardizing long-term well-being. Beyond my expectations, I became further integrated into the wonderful Lotus Yoga community, deepened friendships, and received help and support beyond my wildest dreams. I left every session with more knowledge and sincere gratitude for this fulfilling and fun journey.”- Katie Anderson, 2018 graduate and Lotus teacher

“Hands down one of the best teacher training programs available in the Dallas area! Jen’s 200 hour yoga teacher training is very personal and hands on. She is easy to connect with and very conscientious about working personally with her students to prepare them to be great teachers. She also offers a flexible training schedule so that you are not locked into certain days or times.
While training with Jen I learned to teach many different types of classes, from flow to restorative, with an emphasis on safety. I felt supported throughout the process and was given the tools to help my students to connect with their breath, bodies and minds while becoming better yogis no matter what level of experience they have.”- Bob Richie, 2017 graduate and Lotus teacher
